The Extraordinary Jubilee Year of Mercy Exhibit
Featured Exhibit: The Extraordinary Jubilee Year of Mercy
The Extraordinary Jubilee Year of Mercy was declared by Pope Francis on Tuesday, December 8, 2015 – the Feast of the Immaculate Conception and the 50th anniversary of the closing of Vatican II – and runs through the Solemnity of Christ the King on November 20, 2016. This is a time for believers to seek the mercy of God, and then to show the mercy of God to others – to “live in the light of the word of the Lord: ‘Be merciful, even as your Father is merciful’ (cf. Lk 6:36).”
The images in this exhibit come from collections at the Catholic University of America, St. Catherine University, and the University of Dayton, and each is a visual depiction of ways we might better serve those in need through both the Corporal and the Spiritual Works of Mercy.
