The Catholic News Archive is a resource to Catholic media in hosting both historical issues and your current content!
For less than most business internet contracts, you can have your current content hosted in the Catholic News Archive. This means:
- Leverage the power of this central repository! Your content is available alongside current and historical Catholic Newspapers. The Catholic News Archive is used by researchers, journalists, Church leaders and the public.
- Your files are reviewed by digital content experts and guaranteed to be optimized for search engines, following Google’s industry-setting standards.
- Your publication is posted as part of your publishing process – send the final PDFs to us when you send them to your printer and we’ll take it from there!
- You are provided guidance so you can ensure your publishing process is in compliance with the professional standards for digital archiving.
- Your content can be hosted both in the Catholic News Archive and on your platforms, increasing traffic to your digital channels.
- Your subscription includes unlimited storage for your issues. There is a nominal, one-time fee for migrating previous issues to the Catholic News Archive.
- Your content benefits from the network of 50 leading Catholic academic libraries, the Catholic News Service, and diocesan and religious order archives, whose mission is to provide enduring global access to Catholic content.
Annual Subscription
Files must be sent to CRRA ready to be digitally archived, per specifications outlined in your contract. This subscription is ideal for files that are “digital-born,” that is, created in digital publishing software such as Adobe Creative Suites. Files will be housed on the CRRA site permanently.

Previous issues can be added to your collection for a onetime fee, with no increase to the annual subscription.
- Digital-born pdfs: One-time fee of $100 per year, regardless of number of issues.
- Non-native issues: For content which is in other media (such as microfilm or paper), or scanned PDFs, a custom quote will ensure metadata and other information is embedded to meet archival standards.
